5 Component Banana Oatmeal Cookies - My Good Food cravings

How can baking biscuits ever be quick? You normally must have a scale, carefully measure out all the ingredients, caress the bread for ages, then cut out little cookies into heart, moon and star shapes then wait another century'til they're baked.

NEVER EVER could I bake cookies under these circumstances. That is just how I roll. But after that I encounter these Banana Oatmeal Fitness Cookies (that is what I call them, anyhow.)

Okay, they do not taste just like the cookies you get round Christmas time. Instead they are a bit more gooey and don't crumble at all.

However, what largely convinced me was you can have them prepared in 25 minutes including the baking time! No shit.

Possibly the most astonishing thing about the biscuits is that they involve only two ingredients! Yep that's right, and anyone can mix two components.

Though in the event that you would like to make them even tastier and/or healthier you can pimp them up using some add ons like raisins, walnuts or cinnamon. That is up to you!

It sounds more and more like a sales pitch (it is not -- nobody is gonna pay me should you eat them), however I must mention yet another awesome thing about these cookies.

They're tasty! Yep, once I'd had the initial I finished the rest inside an hour.

They are excellent for hiking excursions or other occasions where you want a quick pleasant bite on the move. Nowadays I keep them as a fast snack in my back pack.

It also has to be mentioned that they're vegan. No eggs, no milk, no none of the usual cookie suspects. Simply oats and bananas.

Take oats for example. Not merely do they reduce your cholesterol levels which in turn can help you prevent developing heart disease or diabetes, but in addition they energize you with good carbs and nutrients to help keep you going for more throughout the day.

Those nutrients contain manganese, good for bone creation and skin ethics in addition to magnesium -- significant for energy generation to cause you to feel more awake

Same with bananas -- the favorite fruit among athletes -- not just because they have an adequate amount of good carbs but also for being the big players at the potassium game.

Potassium is a very important nutrient for preventing fatigue and muscle cramps. Pretty good if you have a tough day ahead of you.

Because you can see, I am a huge fan.

2 ripe bananas

1 cup rolled oats (oatmeal or porridge oats work very nicely )

Optional: Vegan Chocolate Cookies - Loving It Vegan

two tsp cinnamon

1 small number raisins

1 small handful walnuts, crumbled

1 small handful sesame seeds, toasted

You may add pretty much whatever you enjoy!

If you don't have this make sure to grease the baking tray with butter (or olive oil if you are vegetarian )

To make the cookie shape simply grab a spoon and scoop an adequate sum from the mixture onto the baking dish like I did in the photograph above. It's super quick and effortless.

Away it goes into the oven for approximately 15 - 20 minutes.
